OMG this was SUCH a wonderful WONDERFUL book. You learn all about the Gold Rush in Alaska. How hard it was and no garuntee you would make any money.
Not only that but that previous story ties in with present day and a similar murder.
Who did it?
Sue Henry does a EXCELLENT series, a touch of dog in some, a lot of dog (being a kennel owner, what it's like, but not so much that it's boring).
I felt like I was in Alaska during the Gold Rush when I read this book!!!
Can't put down, suspense is great!
Alex has to fall deep into the past to uncover what happened then to solve the mystery now. It is filled with early Alaskan history and really puts into perspective how harsh it was to start out here in Alaska. So many people that came here looking for a fortune left empty handed and ruined or never left alive. The were few who made it here during that time. Follow Alex as he travels in the past.
