Its easy to see how Galsworthy won the nobel prize for his narrative. He writes with such beauty and emotion, its hard not to be drawn into this family drama. Even though Soames passes on, the authot decided to give him a heroic death.
This is a great novel. I read it while in college and became a big fan of Galsworthy. His books are better than any of the mini series adaptations.
