A novel that explores the wistful side of memory and the enduring magic of the heart. 'Have you ever wanted to rewrite your past?' Three best friends, all with the same birthday, are about to turn forty. They plan to share this momentous occasion together at a summerhouse in Maine, talking up a storm and taking stock of their lives and loves, their wishes and choices. But none of them expects the gift that awaits them at the summerhouse: the chance for each of them to turn their 'what-might-have-beens' into reality. I read this book when it first came out and borrowed it to my niece. I never got it back. I've thought about it for years and even looked for it at her house, but I'm pretty sure she borrowed it to some one else. It's one of those books you want all of your close (female) friends and family to read. Once I got the book from Albiris and started reading it again, I couldn't put it down. I was up all night. I loved it! Now I borrowed it to one of my sisters and I plan to give it to my Mom when my sister is done reading it. I know that they will all love it. If you get the chance...read it. You won't be disappointed.
