Glenn (1882-1956) wrote this meditation on prayer after undergoing a spiritual crisis brought on by the death of his father. It became hugely popular. A teacher and coach he developed the idea of training "spiritual athletes" and started Camp Farthest Out, wrote a number of books, started a magazine, "Clear Horizons, and was a popular lecturer. Glenn himself was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church. Purple cloth-covered boards with silver gilt lettering on spine and front cover. Minor shelfwear on boards; a clean, sturdy copy.
