A very revealing and readable account of life as a professional soldier in the Wehrmacht. The text does not contain detailed maps of the battles described and is therefore not suitable as a history textbook for the theatres mentioned. The style of writing makes for easy and relaxing reading and is a "must read" for anyone interested in a very sad period in modern history.
