A series book

I think you need to read the whole series in order to understand what is happening in each book. I enjoyed the series, I believe this is the last book.

The plot is only so-so, but the characters & the development of understanding and insight in a group of rape survivors offers the reader a glimpse of what rape means to those assaulted, and how friends/family help or hinder the healing process. The main character, Lily Bard, shows. over the arc of multiple books, one rape experience and its emotional aftermath for a severely traumatized woman. As an older woman, who has not experienced rape, and was uncertain how to respond to someone who has, I found it compelling and useful. Highly recommended.
