This is one of those books that has at least two messages. On the surface it appears as a children's fable. Deeper down, it is an excellent commentary on management/group think/ inflexible and ossified organizations. It out to be required reading for every MBA student.

Great book for all ages.
This was a childhood favorite, published originally in 1946 and currently out of print. The story is one of personal triumph of the individual (bear) against the powers of industrialization and conformity. And the drawings are wonderfully clever. I am waiting for a reissue in hardback...
