Fine in blue cloth covered boards with a gilt on dark blue title block on the spine. In a very good-, unclipped dust jacket with a split down the entire length of the fold to the front flap which has been repaired with archival tape on the verso side, a 1/4" deep "V" shaped chip from the upper edge of the front panel, a similar chip from the lower edge of the spine area and with light wear and rubbing to the ends of the spine area. Warmly signed and inscribed by the author on the first free end paper. The 45th volume in the Rivers of America series with illustrations by John O'Hare Cosgrave, II. 370 pages including an index, bibliography, text and drawings.
