Very Good in Good jacket. 9 x 11 1/2. 932 page hardcover with many photo and map illustrations. Volume 1-but the only volume published. Fourth Edition. Dust jacket is complete and clean-but rubbed on the front cover causing a white line down the middle. Red faux leather cloth exterior with title on front cover and spine in gold. Interior has some light foxing on front few pages, otherwise unmarked, tight and clean. The book is very heavy-over 6 pounds-so other than standard domestic mailing will require extra mailing charges.
Near Fine in Fair jacket. Stated First Edition, one of a limited edition of 1500 copies. 933 pages with index and foldout map in rear. Very abundantly illustrated with many 100s of photos. A clean copy in very nicely preserved leatherette covers. Gilt lettering to maroon covers is thick and fresh. Old maps on endpapers. Binding is firm with a little play, usual in a book of this size. Upper ends lightly age spotted. Jacket is quite tattered and chipped on edges, with foxspots on spine panel. This book is very heavy indeed, so please allow for necessary shipping.
