This is my absolute favorite 'go to' book for anything I want to know about growing and caring for a vegetable garden. This book also covers fruits and herbs but I mostly utilize it for vegetable gardening, organically. The way the information is presented and laid out is easy to follow--from planting seeds to extending the harvest and the final putting your garden to sleep for the winter. I like this book so much I bought my gardening son a copy and gave it to him over Thanksgiving--he had a hard time putting it down. If I had to choose only one book I would use to garden--this would be it.
