Plate has artwork and logo of the herald and a drawing of a typewriter, and says"This copy is autographed for (Typed in name) Gerald A. Elliott" Under his name are hadsigned signatures of both authors-Thomas hornsby Ferril and Helen Ferril. Decorated endpapers. Collection of marial from the Herald, including "The Dumb Friends League". The person to whom the book is signed, Mr. Elliott, was an author and longtime journalist at the Grand Rapids Press, in Michigan. Since he's a journalist, perhaps he was also associated with Rocky Mountain Herald. Book is fine, undamaged. Dustjacket has light wear, and some black marks along the top and bottom edges on the back. Dustjacket wrapped a clear Mylar plastic sleeve.
