Former owner's name in ink to front fly and rear blank. Illustrated colour frontis. Some small fox marks throughout textblock and edges, however not intrusive. Montgomery's final book in the "Anne" series, written as a tribute to the women left at home during World War I. Stokes Publishing thought the subject was too grim, however Montgomery perservered.
