Fair. Book. Inscribed by Author(s) 1st printing. Pictorial paper over boards. 121pp. Illus. Illustrated folding map in back pocket, "Reg Manning's Cartoon Map of Arizona". Unique copy with a neat original drawing in green ink by Manning on title page extending over to facing page. It is signed & dated by Manning on the former, 6/4/38. Most of the facing page has a printed inscription in same ink in behalf of Gov. R. C. Stanford to Gov. Frank Murphy of Michigan. It reads, "A long distance wave of the ol' sombrero form the Governor of Arizona to Frank Murphy Governor of Michigan by way of my personal messenger "Dangerous Dan Kennedy". Under that inscription Gov. Stanford has signed, titled (Gov of Ariz) & placed a date June (6 or 4) 1938. The covers are quite soiled & edge worn with some cracking along the front joint. Fair to good thus, but a pretty nifty item. Scarce signed & rare with this kind of presentation.
