Very Good. Book A scarce proof copy in original paper wrapsofThe Pleasures of a Nonconformist by Lin Yutang, which is a collection of essays and lectures. With publication details inscribed in ink to front of wraps. Lin Yutang (1895-1976) was a Chinese writer, translator, linguist and inventor. His informal but polished style in both Chinese and English made him one of the most influential writers of his generation, and his compilations and translations of classic Chinese texts into English were bestsellers in the West. Condition: In paper wraps. Externally, generally smart but with minor edgewear, slight fading and cockling to paper to spine and the odd slight mark. Internally, generally firmly bound although slightly strained in places. Bright and generally clean throughout but for occasional spots. Overall: VERY GOOD.
