This book is a wonderful introduction into the psychoactive plants used by man throughout the centuries. It provides basic information on over 90 plants (how to grow them, both ancient and contemporary methods of ingestion, history, chemistry, etc.). It is by no means a complete resource on this matter, although I haven't come across a book that is, and this one certainly does it better than most that attempt.
If you're interested in psychoactive plants, but have little background with them, this book would be a great place to start to gain a fundamental knowledge of a wide variety of them.
