Near Fine binding. Very Good dust jacket. Presentable copy of this uncommon Lois Lenski First Edition. Dustjacket has some soiling and shelfwear, with minor loss at the extremities, and a few short closed tears. It is not price-clipped; the jacket flap has a couple of creases. There are no marks in the book itself, though there is a previous owner name and address sticker neatly affixed to the front free endpaper. Quite a nice binding, clean and tight. Near Fine binding / Very Good dust jacket.
Lois Lenski is my favorite author. Readers are intrigued by her excellent story telling and the plots include examples of the children making decisions and the consequences of those decisions.

I Remember This...
I remember this book to be one of my very favorite books when I was in about 3rd or 4th grade back in the 1960's. Lois Linski had a real talent for writing childrens books as she wrote many books about children in different parts of the United States. I'm not sure why but I would check this particular book out of the school Library over and over along with other books she wrote. I finally got hold of a copy of this story and am saving it for my granddaughters to get a little bit older. I recommend any books by Lois Linski.
