Good. No Jacket. 71pp. 1886. An edition limited to just 400 copies of the 1833 first edition. A rather charming steel engraved bookplate of Wigan Free Public Library to the front paste-down (though with a somewhat unhelpful ink border to the plate-added later) with their very neat oval blind-stamp to the tail of the title page, one to page 5 and similarly to the final page. One library ink stamp to the reverse of the title page and five neat numbers in ink. One neat ink owner's inscription to the head of the front endpaper. No backstrip-the board corners a little rubbed. A good only copy of a scarce book-the book remains firmly bound.
A reprint of the original edition of 1833 (hardback). 8vo, xi, 71pp. Original plain grey boards, title label to the spine. Some loss to the head and foot of the spine, upper joint repaired, some minor spotting to the leading edge else the contents are in very good condition. Overall, this copy is in fair condition.
