Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition with a Good Dust Jacket. 16 pages of b/w historic photographs on coated paper. Handsome volume in deep red half colth with copper titles, red boards; very clean and unmarked, tight & solid, square with sharp corners. No edgewear. Top edge of page block is partially orange, looks like from bleeding of cover cloth. Internals are very clean, no underlining, no highlighting, faintly toned. Some pages towards the back are faintly wavy. Unclipped jacket is clean, worn at edges, chipping to spine head, inside upper edge around and near spine has line of red from cover. It appears there must have been some dampishness at some time but the binding is not affected at all. Ignace Jan Paderwski, 1860-1941, is hailed as a genius and national Polish hero, likened to Einstein and Ghandi; he rose from provincial obscurity to become the most famous pianist in history as well as Prime Minister of Poland. His name was a household name for more than fifty years.
