Covers rubbed at the extremities with light fraying to the corners and spine ends, hinges internally cracked but secure, transparent stain to upper and outer margins throughout most of the book, not interfering with the printed areas, personal bookplate on front pastedown, no other markings.

(John Gould Jennings) Signature also appears on ffep. Illustrated with many b/w photographs of mounted specimens. Very good/no dust wrapper. Corners and spine tips are lightly bumped, binding tight, interior clean and unmarked with no foxing. Probably one of the earliest basic birdiing guides with photographs.
