Scattered foxing throughout, light soiling to the endpapers, moderate wear to the ends of the spine and edges of the boards, else very good in very good dustwrapper with a few short tears and internal tape repairs, light soiling and light wear to the ends of the spine and edges of the panels.
Very Good. Volume 1, parts 1-3. Printed by The Advertiser Printing Office, for Georgian House PTY. LTD., 1951. Stated Number 200 of 1030, of which 1000 were for sale. Hardcover with no dust jacket. Oatmeal cloth covered boards, quarter leather spine with gilt lettering. This is a clean book with obvious minor edge wear. There is some minor soiling on the front board near the spine. The boards are flat and square, but have some minor shelf wear. Both upper fore-edge corners and the lower fore-edge corner of the front board have been lightly bumped. The binding is tight and straight. The leather spine covering has minor shelf wear at the top and bottom, and a few spots of minor rubbing along the spine. The hinges are tight and fully intact with not a hint of separation. The interior pages are clean and unmarked in any way. There are no dog-eared pages. There is a 1 1/2" tear at the top of page Plate 19 near the spine. There is a very small hole near the lower fore-edge, on the description page for Plate 47. This book does not have any water damage and is unsoiled (with the exception of the minor spots on the front board). Pictures and/or scans of any portion of this book will be provided upon request.
Very Good. Folio. 4 parts. 1951-1958. Or paper wrappers. 96 col plates loose in wrappers as issued, each with accompanying descriptive text. Wrappers somewhat tattered as usual with tears/splits mostly confined to spine. Plate all very nice with occassional toned spots at edges. Scarce as complete set with Part IV being issued some 7 years after the first three parts.
Small folio, 96 coloured plates with accompanying text leaves. Full red morocco with gilt spine and contrasting black label, wrappers retained. Limited to 1050 numbered copies, a very fine copy in the scarce presentation binding. Most copies of the limited edition are bound in a quarter morocco, very few sets were done in the full red morocco.
