Good in Good jacket. Pages clean except for a prior owner's ink stamps at the front free endpaper and mild foxing around the outside edges of the page block; binding square and tight, hard cover only modestly softened at the spine ends and lightly rubbed at spine ends and corners. Jacket bears several small, open tears around the spine head and some chipping at the heel, age-toning at the spine and rear, a few tiny specks on the front, and a corner clip at the front interior flap, otherwise clean and well-kept, now protected in a clear sleeve.

This collection shows "Sholokhov as a young writer, as a correspondent at the front in the last war [WW II], and recently, as the doyen of Russian authors." Bright gilt lettering and designs on the red cloth of the spine. The dustjacket is very slightly sunfaded but otherwise, overall, the book is in very good condition and the dj is in good condition.
