Blue cloth covers with gilt titles-very clean with tight bindings, straight spines and corners, very clean. The pages are very clean and crisp. The front and rear end papers of both volumes have some shading, possibly offsetting from paper laid in. There are no marks or writing, no plates, no former owner entries of any kind other than the inscription by the author on the front free end paper. There are portrait and scenic photogravures and engravings throughout. A handsome two volume set.
