Hardcover; original cloth. Ex-seminary library copy with shelf numbers on spine and name stamped on title page. Otherwise a clean tight hardcover book in very good condition. History of the struggles between France; Britain; and the United States for control of the Old Northwest Territory.
Very Good in Good dust jacket. 402 pages, plus 2 pages ads. Binding quite clean, with just a hint of age-darkening. Page edges age-darkened. Some age-toning to the fore-edges of the flyleaves. Previous owners name inked on the front flyleaf. Inkstamps of Herbert D. Laube on the endpapers. A few red marks in margins of some pages. The scarce DJ is edgeworn, inner DJ taped along edges. DJ spine sun-darkened, with some to panels; but lettering still quite readable. The inner flaps of the DJ are only about 1" wide; not sure if they have been trimmed, or came this way. Tear on the DJ front inner flap.
