The title of Margaret Martin's book says it all. It is a 'work book' of the best kind-short on chatter and long on useful information. I liked the careful way that she photographed the stages in the process from prepared drawing to finished painting. There are examples of cityscapes, figures in a landscape, and still life with florals. Lots of flowers for practicing your new view of strong colour without losing the transparency that is the hall mark of watercolour. The pages devoted to colour identification-warm and cool- and colour mixing have been the most helpful of any I have used in quite a long experience of this medium. Thank you M/s Martin for sharing your thoughts with us.
Well worth having on your art instruction bookshelf.
