Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page: "Once again to Dan M-from your fellow Democrat and lover of the tropical life, Best Wishes, Jim Burke". This copy includes a handwritten signed letter from the author laid in: Dear Dan, Thanks for your fine letter and all the good words. Didn't you write me once from New Jersey? Also, didn't you travel with a carnival? Or maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Anyway, I appreciate very much your kind compliments. Please send the books to Missoula. Hey, Ive known Jim Crumley for 25 years. He's a fine guy. All the best, Your friend, Jim Burke". Lower front board has a small bump and there is a hint of a bump on the back top board corner, but the book appears otherwise as new and unread. Dustwrapper is fine.
