More than a pictorial, there is plenty of text on how railroads entered into the strategy and tactics of the war. Several discussions of the activities of Grenville Dodge who later was the chief engineer of the eastern portion of the transcontinental railroad. The book is clean, bright and sound but with a touch of extremity wear. The jacket has a very little edge wear with minor tearing to the head of the spine. The price is clipped. Otherwise clean and bright.
