Good. No Jacket. 0914400126 A book on making moonshine whiskey based on information gathered from scores of men and women across the continent. The information gathered was tried and tested and condensed into a people's book. The good paperback has 150 pages filled with helpful drawings and cartoon that illustrate the process. The book has a nice tigh binding and no markings inside. The cover shows slight wear from normal usage.
New. This item is printed on demand. Originally published in 1976, "The Moonshine Manual" correctly describes the principles of distilling, even though the methods used by today's "urban" moonshiner have changed.
This was truly written to pass on the simple methods of the old time moonshiners. I would not recommend it as a sole resource for someone who is beginning their distilling hobby. There is much more information (distilling science & proper procedures) to be had in more current publications and web sites. However it does help one to understand that making quality moonshine is a somewhat flexible procedure and one does not have to be a chemist with a laboratory to pull it off.
