You need to have an interest in WW2, but if you do this is a must read. The history of U Boat strategy provided is very interesting in its self but the background and decision making by Doenitz after been made leader is fascinating, even more so as he lost 2 sons in the war. Highly recommended.

For those interested in the history of WWII, this is an excellent accounting of the submarine War of The Atlantic told by the Adm who directed the German operations. Recommended reading.
