Pages show heavy use, with some pen markings; evidence of erased pencil on many pages as well. Occasional stain to pages. Pages show occasional sign of use in a kitchen, a few creases and at least one tear. Name and address of former owner penned on front paste down. Side of page block shows light spotting and rubbing. Cloth has a bit of wear and light rubbing. The dust jacket is fragile with some tears, rubbing and wear. I had to get this early edition book after reading Julia Child's "My Life in France" in which she explains how this "cookery book" came to being.
