This is a book for all ages. As a child it is a great children's book. As a college age student it is an example of allegory. As someone learning to make relationships and find one's way, it is thought provoking. And now at 70 I have read it again, with the same delight but more insight.
I have quoted the secret of the fox for over 50 years.
I first became interested in reading The Little Prince when I heard that it was James Dean's favorite book. After reading the story, I see why he liked the book so much. An intellectual read for sure with quite a powerful yet simple message. I think everyone who reads this book will take something very personal away from it. I highly recommend this book. Read it to the kids and read it to yourself because it's a great story for all ages.
If I could only read one book to my child...this would be it.
Teach your children The Little Prince's lessons so that they are set for life. This book gives value to children and their pure and curious view of the world. If children gain this wisdom early, I think they will have a better foundation to make the right choices in life. Choices that will make them happier and more fulfilled.
I cry when I read The Little Prince.
