'little herder' tells of the activities of the navaho during the autumn months from the viewpoint of a child. this book, written in both english and navaho, was orginally published in 1940 by the school and reprinted by the u.s. indian service in 1950 and kept in print for years. this commercial edition was done in 1988. there is a short chapter--pages 85-89--on the pronunciation of navaho and the sentence structure.
