Two volumes complete: 21.5 x 14 cm, oilve green ribbed cloth over boards with gold floral border on three sides of the covers front and back, gold spine titles, top edge gilt, . Volume 1: Tissue protected lllustration of Robert Browning with facsimile plate facing page 572, [i-xii] [1-2] 3-574pp. Volume 2: Tissue-protected portrait of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, with facsimile plate facing page 550, [i-viii]  2-571pp. There is a preface note from R.B.B. dated 1898 who is either the son or daughter of the Brownings explaining that these letters were all that ever passed between his father am=nd mother, as after marriage they were never separated.
