"Let Us Draw Near" is the first book I've read by Judson Cornwall, on the advice of a friend. The book focuses on the tabernacle described in such detail in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deutoronomy in the Old Testatment. In the past, I've skimmed over these sections when studying the Bible...who can get terribly excited about, "The lampstand must be 2 cubits high, etc."?
Cornwall shows, in very plain and modern language, how Jesus Christ is absolutely reflected in every aspect of the tabernacle. The book breaks down each aspect and shows the reader why God used the tabernacle to commune with Israel, but also how Christ became man and became the living tabernacle.
If you have the slightest interest in Christianity or understanding the New Testament more thoroughly, this book is outstanding. It's written from several different viewpoints, but mainly that of Moses for the first half of the book, several of the other Israelites, including Aaron, then ultimately through the eyes of a New Testament Christian. A great read!
