Good. No Dust Jacket. Ex-Library Hardcover, gilt decorations on boards, no jacket. A few superficial scores on boards, mainly rear, with two or three deeper instances on front. Edges are lightly worn, most severe on lower set; leading corners bent and slightly worn. Spine ends slightly worn with nicked foot. A few light creases on spine where cover material has aged; lettering plate slightly cracked with three small areas of loss where parts have flaked off; lettering still legible. Marbled page block has one or two small marks on face and head. Hinges a little weakened; minor marks and raised areas on pastedowns; endpapers and title page foxed. Library stamp on reverse of BEP, imprinting onto final blank page. Nick on p.813 at lower edge. Pages are well-preserved for age, excepting the occasional minor mark; all text is clear and pages remain tightly bound. TS.
