A very helpful gardening book
I had heard about it, but the book made it clear exactly what was involved. I had too much copper in my soil, so we did raised beds first, and then the cardboard, manure (rabbit and horse) in layers alternating with straw. Now it's time to plant, but the rows look beautiful. Thanks.

this might do if you don't have a garden
The process described assumes that you don't have good garden soil. By the time you buy all that peat moss you may as well just as well buy your vegtables from the local farmers market.
However it is an interesting way to start a garden from scratch in a short time.

this is a great idea for cutting out the digging and weeding. just plunk down newspaper and pile the potting soil on top. this is an time-saving process if you don't want to or cannot dig.
