This large quantity recipe book offers mostly wholesome meals of 50 servings. Although carrying a first copyright date of 1940, this work has been updated and thus is still an excellent resource for quantity recipes. An outstanding feature is carried under preparation instructions of PROCEDURES. Each step is listed by the numbers, and not by paragraphs of rambling prose. This does for cooking what paint by the numbers does for beginning artists. My copy was copyrighted in 1951; the purchaser should check which update is being ordered as the fourth edition was published in 1989.
