Signed, Inscribed, and Dated by the Author This copy is inscribed by the playwright to his friend from childhood, the late composer Noel Farrand, here addressed as Noel Clairevitch. Russian second-name patronymics were used by them in correspondence for decades. (Farrand is the dedicatee of Albee's play Tiny Alice).
