Autor Lee Isreal isn't "real" we come to find out.
She has admittedly fictionalized her newer "biographies" so of course this puts all her work in question.
This book is not written very clearly, but in the end offers a tragic view of THE VOICE OF BROADWAY columnist and early television celebrity of WHAT'S MY LINE, Dorothy Kilgallen. Addiction, failed marriage, and a suspicious death at young age are the headlines for DK's life story.
A better book is the fictional account of DK and her love affair with bisexual teen heartthrob Johnny Ray.. titled JOHNNY RAY AND MISS KILGALLEN by Bonnie Hill.
