Two pages of publisher's advertisements at the rear. Good. The edges of the spine and covers are gently rubbed, and there are a handful of minor stains on the covers. There are numerous small, light stains on the top and fore edges of the text block. Subtle spine lean. The underlying boards are peeking through at the bottom fore edge corner of the front cover. Pencil notations on the front free endsheet. There are several small cracks in the front endsheet along the hinge, and the rear endsheet is cracked along the hinge. The text block is just starting to crack at p. 379. Crawford is most remembered today for the stories he wrote concerning horror and the occult.
