I loved the book. I first read it back around 1970. The author draws you into the story and makes you feel as though you know them all - as if you were there. It was like visiting with old friends to read it again. It is quite a special family story. Karen and her whole family are remarkable indeed. I will pass it along to my young daughters to read, I will probably reread ir a couple of more times during my lifetime.
This may seem trivial, but any input is appreciated. I remember reading a book "Karen" as a child...it was an escape for me..very symbolic.
