Near Fine. No Jacket. Signed by the Author 244 pages. Hardcover, bound in printed paper covered boards. Lacking the dustjacket. Signed by both Julia and Paul Child, with an additional dated gift inscription from an unknown person to the book's previous owners. Julia Child once allegedly claimed to hate to see her books without cooking stains, in which case she would hate this copy which is clean, bright, and tight, with no internal markings, except for the aforementioned signatures and inscription. Text in English, with ample color illustrations, which made this and other books by Child the best introduction to French cooking in the United States for many years.
I ordered this autographed edition of Julia Child's cookbook, that was signed by Paul Child as well, for my wife's birthday. Julia would be very proud of my wife's love of cooking. The book arrived very soon after I placed my order, and was in excellent shape. I would recommend this cookbook edition to any home cooks or professional chefs. The seller was great, and Albris is always a great site with good service.
