Mozley, Charles; Jacket design. Very Good. Edith Somerville (1858-1949) and her cousin, Violet Martin (1862-1915), wrote sympathetically (and with great wit) of the late 19th Century Irish society in which they lived. The Irish R. M. is one of their most popular works. This is a collected (omnibus) edition of all the stories in the series. It was originally published by Faber and Faber in 1928 and reprinted in 1929, 1937, 1945, 1948, 1955, and 1962. Green cloth binding with gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight and square, clean and bright with no marking inside or out. The unclipped dust jacket has no problems except for minor bumping and a 1/4 inch repaired tear at bottom of front board-an extremely attractive copy of this classic. 437 pages.
