Watteau, Alika. Very Good. No Jacket. This book, by a Belgian zoologist, is a scientific investigation of over 500 reported sightings over 350 years from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans of animals thought to be sea-serpents; it concludes with chronologies of sightings, strandings, and captures; includes illustrations (gray cloth with gold lettering, very slight edgewear, previous owner's stamp on front endpaper; otherwise a good, clean, tight copy)
Very Good in good + jacket. Scarce collectible, clean, tight 8vo, 645pp. Dust jacket shows some wear and tear, with chipping along the edges and one taped edge along the bottom. Book is in very nice shape with some light bumping to the tail of the spine. Sea serpents have on the one hand been ridiculed by skeptics and on the other made the subject of much fantastic speculation. Dr. Heuvevlmans examines the evidence with thorough ongoing investigations from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans and from 1639-1965.
