A great analysis of the historical continuation of poverty stricken ghetto life. The up close interviews make you feel compassion for the dealers being interviewed until some less than stellar actions they participated in are revealed. Gets to the root of drug dealing in particular, and the vicious cycle of poverty in general. If you want an up close and personal of what street life in an American inner city ghetto entails, this book provides a very real window into that world.
