Pages yellowed and foxed, with some waterstaining at the lower edge of the first few pages. Top edge gilt. 25 colour illustrations printed separately and inserted throughout the text, mounted by the top edge on heavy green paper and protected with tissue. Red cloth boards stamped in gilt, lightly soiled front and back, waterstained on front, spine sunned and frayed at tip and bottom. Binding tight and stable. Book is a selection of hunting stories taken from the novel Handley Cross by Robert Surtees, and illustrated by George Denholm Armour.
Good. Red cloth covered boards with considerable wear and soiling, bumps to corners, small tears at top and bottom of spine, sunning to spine, gold embossed horse and rider on cover board still intact. Slightly shaken interior, minor foxing at edge of pages, all color illustrations intact.
