An early introductory book, useful for the illustrations and to reveal the state of knowledge, or lack of it, at the turn of the century. The rugs, since the book was published in 1904, have to be at least a century old and thus antique.

A very good, clean sturdy hard cover over all with minor shelf wear and light exterior soiling, hinges and binding solid, paper clean and lightly yellowed.

Wear to covers; pages browned at edges, soil. Cover has monogram of "DD, " with first D reversed, for the cover decorations.
