A steal! ! but you will need to chase her down for a signature. All of our first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted. Very Good. First Edition. Very clean with no marks or inscriptions. Dust jacket has light shelf wear with two small chips to the bototm of the spine, and wear including two small wear throughs to the bottom of the spine.
SIGNED and inscribed by author on half-title page to producer/writer William Gough; near fine in near fine dust jacket, in fresh mylar cover; small closed tear at top of jacket front else a tight square unmarked copy in unclipped dust jacket; first printing with complete number line; the Pulitzer Prize-winning author's first book; inscription reads: "September 1, 1989 / For Bill Gough with admiration. Annie Proulx"; her early signature here is unique in that it features a traditional "pointed" capital "A" in Annie rather than her more common rounded "a" and omits her first initial "E" which possibly suggests familiarity with the inscribee.
Fine in fine jacket. 8vo, cloth-backed boards, d.w. New York: Scribner, (1988). First Edition. A fine copy in a fine dust wrapper, without the publisher's stamp. A fine copy of her first book of stories, signed by Proulx on the title page.
