This is the 1980 Midway Reprint of this book, and unlike the stock photos, it is light mint green. 379 pages including index. Chronology is included. Spine is tight, book is square and clean with no marks in the text that I can find. Two signatures by POs in ink on half title page, the first page upon lifting the cover. As spine and top edges of covers have sunned, the green has become brighter. Spine is showing a little wear. This looks like a wonderful history of the role of the post office in American life from colonial mails through 1970, a fascinating angle for social history. Part of the series the Chicago History of American Civilization.
