I'm so glad someone decided to reprint this book...very informative and very descriptive of the trials and tribulations the Germans went through in order to emigrate to America. Faith had to have been their only hope for survival, not only from the treacherous voyage across the sea, but from unscrupulous men who took advantage of them when they arrived in America.
