Includes index. full leather binding With titling "Knife, Fork and Spoon " embossed on spine, top board embossed with globe and ribbon with extended title "Around the World with knife, Fork and Spoon" below which are embossed a knife fork and spoon Somewhat revised text of a title originally published in 1939 by Derrydale Press "The Gentleman's Companion'"as a two volume set. sub-titled: 'Being an Exotic Cookery Book or, Around the World With Knife, Fork and Spoon', the companion volume sub-titled "An Exotic Drinking Book, or Around the World With Jigger, Beaker and Flask. The Derrydale set was a limited, numbered edition in a slip case. Both titles were re-issued in 1946 in embossed leather bindings as separate titles.

Very Good+ in Slipcase jacket. Book One volume being an exotic cookery book (220 pp. ), the other an exotic drinking book (216 pp.). Both volumes clean and tightly bound. Previous owner's names embossed on front covers of both volumes. One bumped corner and a few short tears on foxed slipcase.
This book is a perfect time-bubble: A cooking book with recipes from around the world, collected by somebody whoe still new colonial nations from first hand and tasted many a dish that has died out by now.
